Investment Into Green Technology
Since Al Gore brought us An Inconvenient Truth, green issues and green technology have created buzz in the markets.
It has become a topic which Governments use to secure votes, corporates can use to generate additional revenue and consumers are willing and ready to purchase.
Last year, ethical investment was the fastest growing segment of the financial services market, as funds poured in to be invested into the sustainable technology of the future. Though in terms of return it lagged far behind energy and mining stocks.
Here is the million dollar question...
Is it all hype? Or will it be sustainable, long term and change buying habits forever?
